The other night I was getting dinner ready and sent the boys into the den to play for a bit. They weren't being very loud, but I kept hearing quiet grunts followed by either "awe, good try Reed/Nolan" or "yay! you catch it!" As I peered around the corner, I was amazed to see one boy throwing a decently heavy soccer ball to the other with surprising ease and the other one catching it...like they'd been doing it for years! 3.5 years old and already they have enough coordination to throw and catch with one another. Get the scholarship forms ready!!!

Watch out Pele
(Imagine a thick spanish accent...) And here comes Reed and Nolan
quick as mexian chihuahuas on colombian espresso, passing down the field
with some loco footwork, hombre. Reed goes izquierda (left for you non-speakers), Nolan passes ala derecha (yes, that's to the right) and with the swift swoop of Reed's southpaw, he shoots, he SCORES!!!GGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I figure that's what it'll sound like at their first big game in a few week. They are so excited to play, they continue to tell us over and over again..."i so essited!"

Fit for a queen
Saturday, Linde and Leah had their big 5th bday party at the Roswell Rec for everything gymnastics. But, before their big sioree, Aunt Cinny Bunn took them to a little salon called "Sweet and Sassy!" And, boy, was is NOT a place for boys! There was Justin Bieber blaring over the radio and pink feathers and tiaras as far as the eye can see. This place was a palace for little girls and our little queen twinkies didn't look too shabby! They got their hair, nails and make-up done and to top it all off...a big green sucker!

Celebrate good times, c'mon
Tonight we signed the boys up for the first soccer season! It starts in a few weeks and we'll know after this weekend which team they are on. They are so excited! Afterwards, we had to take them for some celebratory "taco and chips" (ice cream, too) and then on to Target to buy their first official ball and shin guards. Oh, my goodness! They are going to be soooo cute! But for now...welcome to MOE'S!

Imagine it! Children's Museum
Downtown, where all the lights are bright! The Tuttles and McLures had a playdate at the Children's Museum today. The boys wore themselves out running from exhibit to exhibit fishing, painting, moon-sanding, and tons more. Then, we watched the ING marathon take place and cheered the participants on, only to run ourselves out on the big playground at Centennial Park. It was grrrrrreat!

Open Wiiiiiiiide
Today marked another first in the lives of our twinsies. They visited Dr. Macke for their first teeth exam and cleaning! Nolan did great; going right in the room with the hygenist and following directions to the T. Reed, on the other hand, was more apprehensive and asked for me to come in the room with him. He was almost in tears for fear of the unknown (actually he thought the hygenist was going to take all of his teeth) until I got in the chair and showed him how easy it was. Then, after a few minutes of persuasion, and the promise of a special toy, he happily abliged and allowed her to clean his teeth. They were so proud of themselves and even asked me if they could give Dr. Macke a hug!!

Sundee Suppa
On Nonnie's last day in the dirty south, we found it quite appropriate to have an awesome Sunday dinner with the family. We can't wait until she comes back for another visit but we know she's ready to go home and get back into a sense of "normalcy"...whatever that is! What a great time we all had with her while she was here. We wish she lived closer! Love you, Nonnie!!

A Near Stitch Experience...
So, we've gotten the call from Kids R Kids to say, "come get your kid, he has a fever", no problem. They've sent home "boo-boo" reports saying "your kid has been bitten, and the one who bit him was your other kid", ok, we can deal with that. We've even gotten the whole bit about "your kid left his listening ears at home", yea, sure, if you can find them at home, you're waaay ahead of me! But the other day we got the call that was a bit scarier at first..."once we stopped the bleeding from the GASH on his head, we can see that he might need stitches!" Todd was able to pick him up pretty quickly after they called. Once he saw him and realized he was in his general Nolan spirits and the "GASH" was just a mere flesh wound, we could finally rest easy. Soooo maybe he leaves out a few letters of the alphabet when he sings his ABC's...it'll come back to him, right?!? :o)

Home Depot time
Last Saturday (the first Saturday of every month) the boys got to go to Home Depot and create a project. Ashley has been in town and came to help the boys out. They got to make nascar cars with all sorts of wood pieces, nails, glue and stickers. The Goodloe's joined us and we basically took up an entire isle of kiddos building and adults supervising.

Send in the clowns! (my people!!)
What a wonderful day the circus was! Thank you to Jammy and Grandy for taking us. The boys were in utter amazement at the motorcycles, the performers, and...wait for it...the popcorn! When asked what they liked the best, Reed responds with "Reed likes LIONS, Rrrrooar!!" (Even though all the cats were tigers!--and now he speaks in 3rd person!!)
Nolan was making us laugh because throughout the entire show he kept tapping me on the shoulder saying "mommie, it's about to start?"
