There's a Grandy under there...somewhere

Last night the Goodloe and McLure kids decided that a Pile-on-Grandy was the game to play! Reed was not happy that his Grandy was getting "hurt". He kept trying to pull on his arm to free him from the crazed grandkids!! He's soooooooo sensative ;o)

A visit with an old friend

Last year when we took Jackson's ashes to Graveyard Fields, we promised to come back and visit him in the spring. And we did! We found his tree and the tent stake we used to carve his "J" and did a bit more carving so it would stay there forever. The boys kept saying "I miss my Jackson and want to take him home with us." Very sweet!

The tree has actually been damaged somehow and the middle portion either looks like it been struck by lightning or blown down in a storm. But, the J remains!

Last time we only hiked to his tree and back out, but this time we hiked all the way to the Upper Falls, which is 1.5 miles in and 1.5 miles out. The boys did great on the way in...but Todd and I took turns carrying them on the way out! Needless to say we were tired!!

Asheville Cousins

We went to Asheville this past weekend and the boys got to spend some time with their "Mountain Cousins." As many times as we've seen and hung out with them, Reed an Nolan still call them "boy" and "hey girl!" It's too funny even though Reed tells Gracyn that he's her boyfriend...then looks at Griffin and says he's his boyfriend, too. Oye vay!

Sleepover...of the canine kind

Nekoh got to have a spend-the-night party at the Halloran's this past weekend and from the looks of the pictures, I think he had the best time! Thanks for taking such great care of our pooch, Halloran's (and Keeks).

Atleast now we know that Nekoh "scares the hell outta" Anna! Those are her words, not mine! LOL

Twins for Sale

Last weekend we had a garage sale in our neighborhood. Reed and Nolan tried to help us out...by showcasing the merchandise, I guess?!? Thanks to Nana and Jammy for selling most of our goods!!

Many, many, many THANKS!

I just wanted to send a BIG HUGE THANK you to everyone that was involved or helped with Dawn's party last night. It could not have gone off as perfectly if it hadn't been for "all the people" (as Nolan says). It was such a blast and I know everybody worked really hard on their parts and thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

Shhh...it's no longer a SURPRISE!!

This is a BIG year for one big sis...Happy 40th, DAWN!! A big group gathered at her house to throw her one big surprise bash. From teachers to tennis buds, neighbors to family and old friends, there was an awesome turnout. Dawn was seriously surprised and we all had a great party-time. We love you, Dawn and hope you had a FABULOUS time (even after the night that preceeded you ;o)

Oh yea, and another WONDERFUL cake from Chris...thank you!!

Party, Charlie Party!

Charlie Tuttle's birthday was actually a few weeks ago but because of hectic schedules (and pending warmer weather) he got to have a pool party for his birthday celebration. The boys had such a great time and even started swimming by themselves for a good length of time! We were so proud!! And what an awesome cake made by my mom's BFF, Chris. Thanks for having us over, Tutt's!

Little Monsters

Pete put these sticker activities in their goodie bags from the weekend they stayed with her and we just did them the other night. They had sooooo much fun and it kept them occupied for about 30 minutes! We highly reccommend them to "active" children!
Thanks, PETE!!!

Brothers gotta HUG

Reed and Nolan spent the weekend with the Pete's while Todd and I were at the Newman-Downs wedding in Biloxi. I was afraid they weren't going to be excited to come home or see us seeing as how spoiled they got! Chic-fil-a, ice cream, popsicles, pizza, touch a truck event, soccer, swimming, movies, more popsicles, and I'm sure candy as far as the eye can see! The Pete's kept everyone busy with not even a minute to remember Todd and I were gone. A BIG thanks to them for entertaining the boys all weekend and we hope you get some much needed rest this week. You're the best!!!

SPF, what the heck?

What happens when one twin + one sunscreen tube - mommie supervision? Well, atleast he won't get a gnarly burn from an incandescent bulb! Good thinking, Reed.

Biloxi Bash

Todd and I took a trip (sans children) to Biloxi this weekend for the Shrimp Newberg's nuptials! (Mr. Brian and Mrs. Traci Newman) Their rehearsal dinner was at a place called the Docks and it was on an inlet with perfect weather conditions.

Hooray Beer! I'm not sure this place saw the damage this group was about to do...and to Red Stripe beer?!? The "Reader" wanted to make sure everyone's glass was full, so he was passing around a bucket of beer! Way to go, Reader!

Friendship Tree. It's on the dilapidated satelite campus of Southern Miss. Since Hurricane Katrina hit and destroyed the entire school, it has been left untouched and no plans to build it back up. The only thing not destroyed on the campus was this 500 year old live oak. It was absolutely AMAZING!

Jen, Jen, Mel, Megan, and I were all reuinted, once again, and had a blast hanging out and seeing each other since we don't usually get to that often. We miss our Charlotte buds!

Awe, the happy couple!

Traci left nothing to question in regards to her immaculate wedding. I wish I had taken more pictures because everything was perfect. The tree was incorporated into everything she touched. From the center pieces at the reception to this luge ice sculpture, this girl can plan a flawless event!

Hooray Newmans!

Let's Go Brabes (no, that's not a misspelling)

One of Todd's agents called him up the other day and said "hey, I have a few tickets to the Braves game Thursday night, do you want them?" Needless to say, he accepted and we took the boys to their first Braves game! Oh, sorry, BRABES, as they call them.

The tickets included parking right next to the stadium and admittance to the 755 club. We ate dinner up there and then headed down to our seats...

and WOW! Even though they were right behind the Washington Nationals dugout, they were still RIGHT BEHIND A DUGOUT!! What great seats!

The boys had a blast and were flirting with the girls behind them! That is, if they took the time to flirt between the jellybeans, dippin' dots, and popcorn. It was a foodstravaganza!!

Fun with Friends

So, the next few posts will be those of the week past. Last weekend (May 7th) the Perry's and Bob's came for a visit. Hannah, Reed, and Nolan ran around the house and played and played and played until they could play no more!

Trevor was a trooper and hung out as long as he could. Then, it was off to nap until it was time to go home! We love our Perry and Bob friends!!

Athens Twilight 2011

We took a very short road trip to Athens this weekend for the Twilight Criterium bike race. They shut off the main portion of downtown and set up all sorts of cool stuff. This slide was probably the highlight for the boys. There wasn't much of a line so they'd go up, come down, go up, come down, go up, come down, etc. for probably close to an hour.

Then it was time to JUMP!!

Oh yea, we almost forgot, we watched the bikes race, too.
