Swashbucklin' Mad Cow

Last night was, ironically, "dress as a pirate day" at the boys favorite watering hole, Chic-fil-a. Not such a great picture, but they LOVED every minute of it! There's going to be a contest for best costume and as soon as they post it, I'll pass it along! Vote for Captain Nolan Sparrow and Long Reed Silver!!! ARRRRGH!

Shiver me timbers!

Sometimes I wish I could make these two walk the plank! Today is "dress up like a pirate (or mermaid)" day at school. I parenthesized 'mermaid' because I'm sure if it was an option, they might have picked it. Who knows, they could have made cute merfolk! Captian Nolan Sparrow and Long Reed Silver went into school today with their hooks, maps (eyepatches), skully caps and pirate hats, ready for a day at sea! Argh, mateys!!

What's in a name?

You would have thought we put 100 dollar bills in their breakfast as excited as they were to have their names spelled in pancakes. Mmmm, their names have never tasted so good!

Then, half of the Goodloe's came with us to the World Congress Center to watch a national club volleyball tournament. Todd's friend Rob's niece was playing on a team from Houston, Tx. You can vaguely see Victoria in the background of this fast paced photo, #23. After today, they were undefeated! Go Wave!!

Cars 2!

Tonight we took the boys to Studio Movie Grill to see their favorite actor, Lightning McQueen, in action in Cars 2. It was such a cute movie and the boys are already talking about when they are going to get to go see it again. Ka-CIAO!

Twinnie Taco Turs-day

Linde and Leah came to join us for dinner while Ryan and Keely had a swim meet tonight. The boys loooove when their cousins come for any play time!

When it was time to go meet the rest of the Goodloe's at the swim meet, we stopped at Stroup Road to feed the goats! There are tons of new babies and they're so cute!

We made it to the meet to see Ryan's last race. You can see him in the photo below in the white cap. When it was his turn in this relay, he was close to half a body length behind....and he SMOKED the competition! Good job, Ryan!

Introducing...

BATBAN and RAW-BIN!!! Today is "dress as your favorite superhero" day at school and these are the heros the boys picked. I had no idea they even knew who Robin was but Nolan let me know just what colors his shirt and shorts needed to be! I even tried to go old school Batman with Reed having his outfit be gray, but noooooooo! Everything had to be black! Watch out bad guys...

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to the best of the best dad's out there...you know who you are! We had the Goodloe's, Nana, and Poppa over for a swim at our neighborhood pool, then it was off to a "cook-in" (as Keely and Ryan called it) at our house. --We missed you this family day, Halloran's!! It was a great day and I hope the dad's liked being waited on hand and foot ;o) Love y'all!

I "growed-up"

No, we don't mean that he's gotten older...growed-up is synonomous for 'throwed-up' in our house. Tuesday night Nolan came to the edge of our bed and said "mommie, my tummie hurts....BLAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" Vomit. All over MY side of the bed. Good thing I'm a middle-of-the-bed-sleeper. It was pretty cute the he kept saying that he had to "grow-up" just seconds before he heaved. So, he got a stay-at-home pass with Daddie yesterday and by mid morning he was feeling 100 times better.

Huh'd you say?

Todd took the boys to have a sleep over (of the Jammy/Grandy kind) in Athens last weekend. They tooled about town going to see friends and doing a little shopping. Well, somehow this movie ended up in one of shopping baskets and it resembles the movie CARS. Reed had the most excited voice telling me all about this movie (even though he hasn't seen it) and kept saying "Yea, mommie, see Lightning he's gonna win the PISSIN Cup!" Ok, he almost had it right as those of us know, it's the PISTON Cup, but it sounded so funny and he didn't know he was saying a funny word, that I kept asking him to say it!

I'm on a Boat

What a day to be on the lake! Well, for 2 hours atleast, until the storm chased us to shore. We tri-tooned it to McIntyre Island where we explored, floated, and jumped all around Allatoona Lake. Thanks Lorin and Sean for taking us on your boat!

Here comes the rain! Land ho!!!

Movin' On Up

Today marks the first day for the boys to be in Miss Jessica and Miss Lisa's class! They were so excited this morning and couldn't choke down their breakfast fast enough. I don't think they understand that they are growing up too fast and need to slow down :o)

Bittersweet

Today marks the last day of the boys as "Busy Bees". That is the name of the classroom they are in (for the last day) today. Tomorrow they will be moving to the 4 year old class, getting ready for their transition to Pre-K in the fall (YAY!). Miss Candace and Miss Jill have been so great and they'll still see them everyday through the window wall, but I'm sure they'll miss being in their class.

Hooray for earrings!

Congrats to Anna and her big girl pierced ears! I remember how excited and scared I was when I was 10 and got my ears pierced and from what I hear, she did a great job. I can't wait to take her shopping for pretty bling blang!

Sleepover...of the Halloran kind

Last weekend we had all three Halloran kids over to stay the night so Sean and Dardar could go out for a little time to celebrate their anniversary. Happy Anniversary, you two!
Reed and Nolan followed Braden and Wil around like little lost puppies and laughed a ginormous laugh every time they did something slightly funny. We went to the pool and threw tennis balls on the roof of the pump house...yes, a pool is within 10 feet and boys would rather throw balls, go figure!

They stayed in the nice and refreshing pool for several hours while I sweated my tush off on the tennis courts (only to get beaten so badly my score was in the negatives!).

We had a great time with the kiddos and I think they had fun with us. Wil seemed to be having such a great time he even said "Cinny, can we do this again? Like, next summer?!?" Uh, yea, or how about THIS summer, Wil!
