This is a picture of the picture of Reed's very first field trip! They went to the library a few miles away from the school, which Reed kept calling the "bookstore". Oops, bad parenting moment when your kids know to buy books before you rent them! Oh well, he had so much fun and keeps talking about it. Nolan's class goes for their trip on Friday. Getting so big!

Happy (late) Birthday, Anna!
So, Anna's birthday was Saturday and as a good aunt, we called and sang the happy birthday song to her. But, as a bad aunt, I forgot to post birthday wishes until now. We hope she had the happiest 9th birthday ever!! As an even BETTER aunt, I'll be taking her and Keely horse back riding for her bday present...pictures to come on that, but she's really excited! We love you Anna :o)
Forsyth Humane Society
Every year we pick a charity that we ask our birthday participants to donate to and this year it was for the Forsyth Humane Society. They wanted us to bring the donations and supplies to them so they could take a picture for their newsletter. So, $400 and a bunch of supplies later, this was the best photo the boys would pose for. Thanks for coming with us and sending the photo, Nana!
We also go to tour their facility, which was really very nice. There were about 20 dogs being held there for adoption and a bunch more in foster homes. We wanted to take all of them home!

3D Lion King
Today I picked the boys up from school a bit early and we headed to the theater. We saw the Lion King in 3D during which Nolan dropped his lemonade on the floor (and cried), then Reed bit his own finger while eating popcorn (and cried), and both of them had told me in the middle of the movie that they wanted to go home, we had a great time! The funny thing is, since we've been home they keep telling me how much fun it was and that they want to "do it again". Seriously?

Future US Open Tennis finalists
This has been one of the favorite past times for the boys this week. Playing tennis in the driveway, calling each other by a different professional tennis player's name. Usually, Reed is Rafa Nadal and Nolan is Novak Djokavic. But, last night Reed would hit the ball to Nolan and say "Good job, Raffy! Get it!" So funny!

Fun weekend in the 'burbs
Sunday, we met the Pete's and Charlie in downtown Roswell to partake in their arts and crafts festival. I had fun watching the boys chase each other around and looking at all the crafty fair, but after about 1000 times saying "DON'T TOUCH!" we decided to head to Taco Mac for lunch.
~Feed me, says the birdies!~
Dawn probably won't let me babysit her kids ever again because the majority of the night I spend throwing water into the mouths of these babes on the ground floor. Fun for me to see if I could splash them in the mouth (and sometimes square in the eye) and fun for them because they got to get wet. Ah, the little things!

It Lives!
In all my years of living in the metro Atlanta area, I have never come face to face with the most recoginized landmark I always hear people talk about...The Big Chicken. It is in fact, big...and a chicken...AND it has a working beak that opens and closes. Who knew!?! Oh, I guess everyone in Atlanta except me!

Beach Adventures
Well, here is the weather scan of Tropical Storm Lee that kept us inside for the first 3 days of vactation. Lee was pretty fierce and the closest we have ever come to being in crazy tropical weather. The winds blew our pool umbrella into the pool, toys were strewn about all over the deck, and the wind was knocking our rocking chair into the house.
The storm did make for pretty surf, though! The boys didn't mind that we got to play in the wind and rain on the beach. They've been happy to do what ever we've planned for them this week.
We rode our bikes into Seaside to get some ice cream.
We rode to the grocery store to buy Jammy and Grandy "Happy Anniversary" flowers. Well, Nolan wasn't pictured here because he was acting crazy and wasn't allowed to go to the grocery store with me and Reed at this time. Maybe he'll learn...or maybe not!
This was the boys all tuckered out after our bike ride with the Perry's this afternoon. We let them sleep for a bit in the driveway while we got ready for dinner and then off to the beach...again!
