Halloween Spooktacular 2011

What an awesome Halloween night in the Woodlands! The Tuttles, McLure's and Goodloe's singlehandedly wiped the whole north end of the neighborhood out of candy. I really don't know how there was any left for anyone! Ryan was a gangster ghost, Keely was a Diva cowgirl, Linde was Minnie Mouse, Leah was a cat and Reed, Nolan and Charlie were the 3 Amigos. They all had such a blast!

Here sits...Dusty Bottoms, Ned Needalander, and Lucky Day.

Check out all that loot! And that's only 2 of the 7 kids! Can someone please call and make a dentist appointment for all these kiddos?!?

Nekoh joined in on the festivities for a little while as a Wall Mounted Moose! He got a biiiiig treat for sitting still for all of 6.2 seconds so I could snap a quick photo. Good moose, I mean, boy!

Finally, UGA defeats those stinkin' gators!

The Perry's came over this weekend for a little chili cookoff and playtime for Hannah and the boys. The kids spent most of the time outside pulling each other in the wagon. Doesn't Reed look sweet with the little princess computer!!! HAHAHAHA

The best part of the weekend was the UGA finally defeated Florida. Now, this was an unranked Florida team, but those wins are so few and far between these days, we'll take it any way we can! GO DAWGS!!

C'mon, baby! Momma needs a new pair of shoes!

The other day, Todd was feeling lucky and brought home some scratch off lotto tickets to share with the boys. They thought it was fun, but really only wanted the penny we were using to reveal our losing tickets. Oh well! More funding for the GA pre-k program, right? Better luck next time, boys.

Happy Birthday, Hon-eee!!

Yesterday was the big 3-6er for Todd. We celebrated Tuesday night at a fantastic hibachi restaurant near our house. The boys were given the child-friendly chopsticks and didn't use their forks to eat at all! We hope da-dee had a great bday and love him to pieces. Happy bday, hon, we think you're the cat's pajamas!!

Hilton Head Island Bridge Run 2011

What a weekend! It was more of a relaxing mommie weekend with a little run at the end. Katie, Lorin and I went to Hilton Head for some RnR and completed their version of a bridge run, which was fantastic! Katie has never run further than 1 mile in her life! And, Lorin has just come off of a calf injury just a few weeks ago. Then, you have slow runner, me. We all did great and had so much fun together. Looking forward to next year!

Skull Creek Boathouse, they had a dock where we were just in time to see the sunset. We were so in AWE of the beauty, and then decided to take a photo!

Dolphin!

This was the (obvious) start of the race. There weren't many participants, but I think that's why we liked it so much. Small and friendly with beautiful views along the route.

Welcome to Moe's!

I was inside doing dishes from dinner and the boys were outside yelling and screaming and laughing and, well, being boys. Then, there was silence...and I was worried. I went out to see if they'd been twin-napped and instead I find them all buckled into my carseats and when I asked them what they were doing, Reed said "We're going to WELCOME TO MOE'S!!"

Arachnid madre

Reed told Daddie today "the spider on my shirt can't bite you because you're his mom." Where does he come up with this stuff?

Hewwwoooo, Ashwee!!!

Ashley came in town for a few Auburn football games this week and in between she made time to come hang at Casa McLure. The boys jumped all over her playing tag, chase, throw, catch, tackle, and tickle. She's coming back tonight and the boys couldn't be happier!

Bob and Mika's wedding

So, I have no camera because I lost mine, and I'm having to rely on photos I can snag from others as well as our iphone cameras. Needless to say, I have no pictures of the bride and groom! I'll pull some from facebook and post here, but in the meantime, please enjoy a few pics of our little crew having a blast at the wedding!

Twinkies times two! That makes 4, right? This is Dan and Kim and their twin 3-year-olds, Moxie and Gardener. They were so cute and our boys had fun playing with them and they were nice enough to share their DVD player at the wedding so all 4 were huddled on the couch watching Mickey Mouse! Thanks Ewens!

Wanna play for cash?

At Bob and Mika's pre-wedding rehearsal dinner of sorts, the boys started learing the art of hustling, billiard style.

Nolan really loved chalking the end of the stick, even though he whacked the balls with the side of his cue. He'll get it one day!

Playdate with Pals

So, I've got a lot of catching up to do seeing as there hasn't been a post in over a week. Yikes! Last week I picked the boys up early from school to go hang out with at Charlie's house. The boys "took turns" on all of Chaz's cool rides.

Hillcrest Orchard 2011

Today we went to the apple orchards with Nana and Poppa and met the Pete's there with Grammie. We picked apples, went to the petting farm, rode a mule driven tractor, jumped on the trampolines, raced tractor trikes, watched pig races, and ate a few (dozen) of the BEST apple cider donuts! The orchard was quite busy, but we still managed to have a great time.

Oh, and we did a little rotten-apple-bowling down the orchard lanes! Shhh, don't tell! I'm pretty sure this is illegal on the farm!!

Races, bears, and parties, oh my!

We started Saturday morning off by going to a 5k run and festival to raise money for one of our patient's at my office who has cancer. She's in remission now and doing great, but every year she and her family raise a ton of money for the research on her type of cancer which is quite rare. The boys cheered me on as I huffed and puffed all the way through the hilly course, but I made it!

And so did Felicia! This was her very first 5k. I think it's actually the furthest she's EVER walked/jogged.

After the race and about an hour of watching random lacrosse matches, we travelled SO far (next door) to the Turner's house for Kaleb's 5th bday. It was a pirate party and all the kids had a swashbucklin' good time!

Olivia Michelle Mulroy

Yay! Liv was born this morning to Aly and Gary in San Antonio, Texas. Big sister, Ava, is really helping out and loving her little sis to pieces! We love you, Mulroys!!

Just keep gard'nin'...

This was taken a few weeks ago when our neighbor, Shirley, was outside tending to her beautiful yard and the boys followed her around while she watered her plants.
Too bad they couldn't put down their modes of transportation to help!

It's Fall, Y'all

We started out the fall season with a cord of wood that needed to be moved and stacked to the backyard. Todd usually does this solo, but this year the boys jumped right in and they all finished the job together in much less time than usual. Looks like we've got a couple of work horses!

Saturday morning was spent with our good buds, the Tuttles at the Roswell Youth Day Parade. We actually saw Chipper Jones walking his kids to their candy catching destination. Of course he had the day off...the Braves lost! We didn't remind him of that, but it was cool that he kinda went a little unnoticed.

Later on Saturday, we went to watch Ryan in his Lacross match. Leah kept falling over in the boys' chair, and giggling like crazy. She's so pretty!

Ryan did an awesome job in his game. He played keeper for a while and even blocked several shots on goal! He did tell Dawn at the end of the game "next time I want a wooden lacross stick" and when she said 'why?' he told her "because they hurt when you get hit by them!" Go get 'em Ry!
