Nolan was nestled all snug in his bed,
with visions of Santa running through his head.
Nekoh was upset that his bed had been taken,
He didn't complain once he got a piece of bacon!
Reed was in the other room, snoring like a song,
Which was probably why the twins were getting along!
Christmas is coming, they'd better be good.
Or Jolly Old St Nick will skip our neighborhood!

Do you like ha-ka-tooey with syrup?
A few days ago, Thanksgiving night to be exact, the boys and I slept at the Goodloe's house because Dawn and I were going black friday shopping and Todd had to work, so Burke was going to watch all 6 kids. A few hours into our spending frenzy, I get this picture of the kids making pancakes. Where's Nolan you ask? Sitting off to the side because this was the 2nd batch of pancake batter they had to make because he SPIT in the first one. Wha?!?! Really?!?! Oye vay, it's going to be a loooooooong next 14 years!
Dawn got the steal of the day! These fabulous sunglasses that were so deeply discounted she knocked the lenses right out. Who says you can't get good glasses these days was crazy, they are totally stylish!

Veggie Turkey Masterpiece
Thanksgiving 2011
Phew! Thanksgiving has come and gone (all too fast) and our bellies are full and we are so lucky to have such a great, wide varietal family to spend it with. We started the day off at Linda and Arvis', and every year they really out do themselves! It was a nice quiet afternoon, visiting and playing in the yard...
And then it was off to my parents house. I think by the following picture, Poppa had "retired" for the night, we watched a play (of some kind) and I'm still not sure what it was about or if it has even ended yet.
This little birdie apparently has NOT had enough pie. Feed that kid!
There's really no explaination for this photo. Somehow the shirts come off and the dancing begins. Thank turkeyness it was the little kids and none of the adults felt the need to participate. Uh-oh, bad visual!! Thanks to everyone who made Thanksgiving 2011 so memorable and special to all of us. We really had a great time!

Twin Sightings
With the boys being "off" from Pre-K this week, Nana and Poppa graciously accepted my (threatening) request to keep them for a day. They had them sleep over at their house Monday night and when I called to check on them, I heard in the background...
Reed: I DON'T WANNA GO HOME!!
Nolan: I DON'T WANT MY MOM TO COME PICK ME UP!!
They must have been loading them up with sugar and lies! Ha, no, I'm sure they were just having a ball.
They took the boys to the Goodloe's school for grandparents day and to see all the Goodloe kiddoes. A few hours into the day, I got the following pictures on my phone from Pete and Charlie. I was a little confused at first, but then figured she ran into them at the park. She said the boys were so excited to see each other and did the "slide train" over and over and over again! So cute! Thanks, Nana and Poppa for keeping the boys and I hope you are getting some well deserved rest.

Super Sleepover Weekend
Thanks to the Goodloe's on Friday, Todd and I got to enjoy a night out with the Tuttle's (sans-kids) at dinner and a comedy show.
Then, on Saturday, we had some neighborhood friends over for dinner and Grant got to spend the night with us. They all kept saying "yea! We're the three brothers!" Since Grant is an only child (for the time being) he was so excited to have "siblings"...even though he kept calling them Sadie and Finn! It was too funny!

Happy Turkeys, Indians, and Puritans...oh my!
This past week the boys got to participate in their first Pre-K Thanksgiving play and feast at school. Nolan was up first on Thursday and he was a Puritan Man in his play. When his character was called he'd get to say "Bang! Bang!" He did great the first two times, but after that, he became "statuesque". He was excited to have me stay for lunch and afterwards, we had a Nolan/Mommie day!
Reed had his play and feast on Friday. He was an Indian Man and when his character was called he got to say "Big and Brave". I didn't get to see much at his play because all the grandparents were standing up in front of me! Oh well, we had lunch together and afterwards, had a Reed/Mommie day. He was so excited for about the first hour singing "Reeeeeeed and Mommie day, reeeeeeed and mommie day!" But after our shopping excursions, he kept saying "when are we going to get Nolan!?!"
This is Miss Erika. Reed loves his teacher and she said he gives her hugs all day long! He's such a little lover boy!

Heart Warming Thanks
The boys were so excited to show me their Thanksgiving turkey feathers they painted. Their teacher asked them what they were thankful for so they could add it to their feathers. Awe, sweet Reed! (I'll be sure to give his teacher that 20$ I promised her to do that for me-haha).
Nolan sure does love his pooch. Todd should have paid Mrs Cindy to get his name on a feather!

Red Top Mountain Camping
Another FIRST for the McLure boys, and family at that, was a 24 hour camping trip at Red Top Mountain State Park. We accompanied the Goodloe's (minus Dawn), Anna, Ricky, 3 of Burke's good buddies and all of their kids. All in all, we had about 7 adults and 14 kids. Out-numbered 2 to 1! Glad the kids didn't figure that out because they may have tied us to a tree covered us with honey!
This was the McLure tent. I'm not sure it was big enough! Ha, the thing was HUGE and could have probably fit the entire campsite.
Leah, Nolan and Mary Martha were sitting by the fire enjoying the warmth.
Saturday, we took a hike (spotted a dead rotting raccoon) set out to find a GeoCache somewhere in the woods. About half way through, half of us turned back and a good thing we did! The others needed to be picked up about an hour or so later because they were still a few miles away! Phew, that was quite a hike.
Here is some of the group doing a little fishing on Allatoona Lake on Sunday. Rick and Ryan were serious fishermen and trying to catch us some grub.
The boys would have rather thrown rocks into the lake, so we walked a good distance away from the fisher-people in the hopes that we would scare the fish their way. No catches today! Oh well, better luck next time.

Goooo Dawgs, Sic 'Em
Saturday we took the boys to their very first UGA football game at Sanford Stadium. This is how we tailgated before the game at Legion field.
On the way to our seats, walking on the outside of the hedges brings back a lot of old memories for Todd and me. It wasn't a very competitive game as it was Homecoming for UGA and we played New Mexico State, so the boys got to see UGA score qutie often! Go Dawgs!
Our halftime snack was a nice heap of dippin' dots. Seeing as it was 48 degrees and we were freezing the whole first half, we sat in the sun to munch on the little frozen balls...and still shivered! Oh well, we'll do anything for some icecream! Oh, and go dawgs!!!
