I do not feel good, no I do not

Yesterday, we realized our fence was open on the other side of the house at the gate that we never use. Either Nekoh got smart and figured how to open it or the ground is shifting and it unlatched itself. Not sure which of these scenarios is more far fetched than the other. Anyhoo, after about a 7 hour jaunt through Mountain Park and the surrounding counties, some nice (brave ) soul loaded our pooches up in their car and took them to Polly's vet. They called me to come pick them up and since then, they've been completely worn out! Oh, and Polly has decided that the area behind the TV is a great spot for a gigantic #2, and the spot in front of the couch is a good place to keep your vomit. I'm pretty sure she got into all kinds of eats on her journey, seeing as she regularly eats just about anything within reach! Maybe they'll learn and stay close to the house, or neighborhood for that matter, next time.

Movie night at the McIntyre house

Last night the Goodloe's and McLure's went to the McIntyre's for a little swim, cookout, and outdoor movie. The movie was a little too old for the boys, but thanks to uncle Burke, he'd tell them when to close their eyes! It was too funny. We all stayed out late and slept in today. Fun, fun, fun! The summer has begun!

Tastes like what?

This is superman ice cream. These are two boys smearing their faces with it. When I asked Nolan what it tastes like, he said "tastes like superman." Um, I can't remember the last time I tasted superman, but apparently Scoops hit the nail on the head!

Off to the G'rents

This was the first official week of summer and what better way to spend it than with people who spoil the fool out of you!?! The boys packed up their lightning McQueen suitcases and clubs and headed out of town for a few days. Todd and I weren't sure what do do with all of our free time, so we slept in, didn't have to cut up anyone's dinner, and listened to the peace and quiet around the house. Ahhh, summer has begun!

Canine assistance

Polly decided to help me unload the dishwasher the other day. Not sure if it's considered "help" when your assistant falls asleep on the job...OR the dishwasher door. Silly pup!

Wee Entrepreneurs

Yesterday, our neighborhood had it's annual garage sale. Instead of hoping people would come down to our house, we joined in our neighbor's house on the corner. The boys set up a lemonade stand to sell...wait for it...lemonade! We also sold homemade cookies and all the money we made went to breast cancer research and the 2-day walk I'm doing in October. They did pretty well, until the neighborhood kids came out with scooters and soccer balls. That left me in charge of sitting in their tiny chairs doing the selling. In turn, I closed shop early.

Set the scene at 6:45am...
Nolan: mommie, can I have a piece of candy?
Me: no way, Jose! It's 6am and candy isn't the first thing you are going to put in your mouth!
Nolan: but I WANT it!!!
Me: oh yea, well I want a million dollars but no ones giving that to me!
Nolan: ok, let me go check my monkey bank for you!

Last (sniff,sniff) day of Pre-k

Yesterday was the boys official last day of Georgia Pre-k. I remember when they were 6 months old and I had already been scouting out the pre-k programs in the area...a little pre-mature, I know. I just had no idea this day would come and go so quickly. If I could pick a super power for myself, it would be to either add a few more days on the week or hours on the day (of leisure and not work, of course!)The boys couldn't be prouder of themselves and we couldn't be more proud to have twin boys that are not 100% bonkers, ok, maybe they are like 75% crazy, but we'll take it!

Pre-k graduation

Whoa, pre-k is over and we have a couple of kindergarteners on our hands. Holy moly!
Today, Kids r Kids held their commencement ceremonies (hardly) with songs, poems, certificates, and most importantly...field day!! Thanks you to all the g'rents that came to celebrate with us on this very special day for the boys.
We'll miss our awesome pre-k teachers but the boys are so excited for summer to start and kindergarten to begin in the fall.

Happy dia de la mama!

This morning jumped off to a wonderful start with all three of my boys making me breakfast. Nolan grated the cheese and as he says 'I made a cuchillion of cheese!' Reed made some fine eggs and strawberries finished out the meal.
An afternoon of mommie time was definitely on the menu and Todd took the boys to a movie, PGA store and grocery shopping. Then, dinner at our house with my fantastic mother! Dad and the Goodloe's joined in and we had quite the nice night.

Proud mama moment

We all got to sleep in a little bit this morning and playing around on our bed with Polly is usually a favorite past time. But then the boys ran into their bedroom and I thought they were just playing around in there, until I spotted them doing this! When I asked who asked them to make their beds, they said "we just wanted to!". I'm so proud of my little minions!!! Still not too sure why Nolan was naked, but maybe that's the way he gets things done!

Holy haircut, batman!

Nekoh got his first shearing of the summer today. Whoa! I can't imagine what that place looked like when they were finished. He feels MUCH better!

Happy 3rd bday, Charlie!

Saturday, Erika and Ryan had an awesome birthday party at our neighborhood park. It looked like a party straight off of a pinterest post. The boys had fun with all the younger kids and ran around like mad men for a good solid 2 hours. They got to ride a firetruck around the neighborhood, and the most exciting thing was seeing our house on the route! Happy birthday Charlie! We love you!!

Happy 8th bday, Wil!

Wil celebrated his 8th birthday last Friday on the 4th of May. We had a family party at his house with a good old game of kickball, water ballon toss, and of course...cake! Happy bday to the best godson I could ask for!!

Cinco de Goodloe

house tonight armed with enough popsicles for the kids, and tequila (for me) to get us thru the night we all sustained! Reed and Nolan were crying uncontrollably when it was time to leave! They wanted to staaaaaaaay!!!!!

Cuz we are the three best friends that anyone can have

Last night the Singletary's came over for dinner, outside play, inside games and eventually a sleepover. These wild and crazy guys didn't actually go to sleep until after 10pm (!) but they had so much fun hanging out together. We'll be sad when they move to Chicago in a few weeks!!

Bring your kid to work day

This afternoon the boys helped Todd work (from home) in his office...or really just played around with all the stuff on his desk and played music while he was trying to work. Rascals!
