Typical Monday Evening

Why wouldn't mommie join the boys for dinner at their little table? Fat girl in a little seat! The boys loved it and I actually got Reed to eat a whole bowl of peas!!! Nolan was still skeptical of the little green balls...

Then, Todd checked the mail and found a package....for Jackson...from ANITA!! G'day, mate! She sent him a bday gift for turning the big 1-0 and being the best Fairy Dog-Mother in the northern, southern, eastern, and western hemisphere. We loooooooove our Anita!!

Easter

Guess I don't know how to add the Easter picture. Worst part is there were only 7 grandkids there. Maybe even worst....they only got 7 eggs to find each. Much to Dad's happiness he found $$ in the yard and I even found a quarter myself after everyone left. I gave it to Poppa cuz that's were the coins came from.

Thanks, Nanan!

Happy pollen filled Saturday to all. Today, Todd
was invited to play golf at Druid Hills and I had a tennis match, 1st round playoffs for T2 singles, so Nana (or Nanan, as the boys call her) graciously came down to keep the boys company. She chased them around the new playground, pushed them on the swings, watched a lawn mower cut grass for about 10 minutes, took them on wagon rides...all the great things a Nana can do. I'm sure after all the excitement of the morning, she went home to take a nap! Thanks, Nana!

You had me at 1400!

So, I took Jackson for his 2nd opinion about his knee to Crestview Animal Hospital in Cumming this afternoon. The first opinion Todd took him to in Roswell resulted in a $100 lesson that we wouldn't spend $3700 to have him run on underwater treadmills and endure avacado facials while going thru therapy after his surgery. Anyhow, the doctor at Crestview came in and introduced himself as "John," and after a few minutes of checking Jackson's x-rays, feeling his knee, and mumbling a few illegible words, he gave me the news that he could do the surgery for around $1400!! And, he's going to clean his teeth and give him his first shave of the summer! Yipee! It's about a G-note less than his right leg costed about 6 years ago and he gets to wear a cast!! Who wants to to be the first to sign it?!?!? I think we're going to get him taken care of sometime next week or the next. Keep your fingers crossed and wish him well!

Dinner anyone?!?

Tonight, Nolan was being a big help since his big brother wasn't feeling well and decided to help set the table for dinner. He got his cup, put water in it. Got Reed's cup, put water in it. Then, got himself, Reed, and JACKSON forks for their meals. Apparently, orange is Jack's favorite color....uh, we'll have to talk about that!! Now all Jackie needs is...opposable thumbs! Good thinking anyhow, Nolan.

Busy Springster!

The McLure's went to Athens last weekend and had quite a busy weekend! From the 3 egg hunts to visiting some of Lindsay's favorite restaurants, and playgrounds to hanging out with friends, we were always on the go!

This picture doesn't have much to do with the weekend, but I thought it was dang cute! Reed looks like he's a little beach bum.

We hunted "Gems" as well as eggs at the Mapps' house. The boys got to take home loads of goodies from this stop and we're making sure to mark it on our calander's for next year!!

We dyed eggs at Jammy and Grandy's house. We tried that cool trick with the whisks (where you put the egg into the middle of the whisk and little kids are able to color the eggs with ease), the only problem was getting the egg back out of the whisk! I cracked a few when I finally gave up and Jammy found some tongs. The boys used them like chopsticks and had a ball.

We also fed the geese at The Bugg compound. For those of you with a good remembering mind, George Bugg was the nice man that lent us his cool Bonnie and Clyde car when Todd and I got married. His son has a big gathering every Easter and they put out hundreds of eggs for the kids to find! Most of them contained a big reece's peanut butter egg...um, yes, we've hidden them from the boys and may have possibly consumed quite a few as well! I don't know why I'm so fat!
We're all waiting for Dardar to put her pictures from the Halloran Easter on this site! I saw a few the night I picked up the dogs from their house, and she's becoming a photo pro!!! No need to hire a professional photographer for those big family shots anymore. Bring on that artistic eye, Dar!
