Lotsa Ava

Reed and Nolan have been jockeying for a position in Ava's heart this weekend. They run around, acting out, being loud, and above all....being BOYS! We're waiting for them to pull her ponytails and then share a glass of milk with three straws.

We spent a few good hours on Saturday and Sunday at the pool, where the boys have shed their front/back floaties in the hopes that Ava will notice they are doing it to be like her!! It's been a trip!

Having a picnic at the pool....ah, these are the days!

Ava did a great job riding on the boys bikes. She even fell once and only winced a little, but was ready to get back out there and play some more!

Ashley, on the other hand, hoisted one of the boys off their bikes and started a new game of chugging a brew while riding a toddler bike. I'm sure somewhere this is illegal...but that's Ash!

Surprise Big Al!!!

This weekend was full of out of towners and surprises! Ash flew in Thursday night to surprise Aly at the Aquarium on Friday morning. She hid behind this car while Aly, Cathy and the girls drove up.

Then, I had everyone stand by the car to take their picture and put our plan into action. I spoke REALLY loudly that I was going to take a picture so Ashley knew what was going on. As I counted 1....2...3....say cheese! Ashley jumped into the picture without Aly knowing she was there. We then showed the picture to everyone so they could see it. It took Aly about 3 tries of "ALY, WHO ALL IS IN THIS PICTURE!?!?!" that she finally got the fact there was an extra BFF in the background. Then the waterworks began, but she was so surprised and happy!

After running around the biggest fish house in the world, we ran across the street and choked down burgers and shakes at Johnny Rocket's! Oh, soooo yummy!!

Busy, busy, weekend!

The McLure boys had quite the busy weekend! First, Bob and Mika came over, then Mika and Nana came to watch Cinny play tennis. Then we ate lunch at Pure and the boys chowed down!

Next, Jammy and Grandy came and treated the boys to ice cream after dinner, of which, Nolan ate every last drop!

Sunday, we tried to wear them out in the swimming pool...it worked wonders!!

Lastly, the boys are getting better and better at using the potty. The only problem is right now they are doing it for the jellybeans!!

Today, the Tuttle's and McLure's loaded up their wagons and headed to a little park called Sprayground. It's a super cute little water park that just has fountains and big spray-shrooms. Charlie was all over the place, loving every minute of it! Reed and Nolan were a little apprehensive and just as Reed was getting the hang of it, he fell and pounded his head on the ground. Oh well, better luck for the McLure's next time.

Hotair Balloons, Helicopters, and HELEN!

This afternoon we took the short hour and a half trip up to the quaint little town of Helen, Ga nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains for their yearly "Race to the Atlantic" hot air balloon festival.

We watched as they fired up the torches and lifted the massive contraptions off the ground. The boys had a great time looking at all the different colors and holding their breath hoping they didn't get caught on the trees!

At first it looked like there would only be one or two, but as the night went on, we counted atleast 8.

After a few minutes of watching the balloons, we heard a helicopter starting up and getting ready for a take off. Reed and Nolan wanted to get a closer look, but we talked them into a "safe distance." Once it began to take off, I think they were glad to be a little further away! That thing was loud!!!!

And to top off the night...mmmm, ice cream!

Happy Memorial Day!

A beautiful 3 day weekend was had by all to remember those who served, are serving, and have fought for our country...Dog Bless the USA!! After an overcast day, the sun came out and made it another steaming hot day in the south. Nonetheless, the family was able to get it all together for a cookout, which also meant STICKY POPSICLES!
