Happy Birthday Lindara!

Two days have passed and I haven't written a single happy bday note to the best sis-in-law we could have ever paid to marry Sean. (Ha, kidding, bro). We all hope Lindara had the best bday ever as I'm sure she's trying to forget them now. Cheers to your 30's, you're on your way to the big 4-0!!! Love you, Dar!!!
(Sorry, this was the only picture I could find of you...it's the morning after our 10K in Charleston. I think your hair looks fabulous!)

Da na na na na na na na BATMEN

The little downtown area of Alpharetta was having a Streetfest/Farmer's Market this weekend and we decided to drop in on it. They had artists of all kinds selling jewelry, paintings, sculptures, and pottery. But the best part was...the face painting! We tried to get them to pick different face art, but once they saw Batman, it was over. They were tickled black! And still are everytime they catch a glimpse of themselves in a mirror or passing window.

Reed go to the Dah-ter

On Friday, Reed had a check-up with his urologist just to make sure everything is in proper working order. The Dr gave him a thumbs up, but wants to monitor him yearly to make sure he's still flowing as he should. I tried to get him to climb on the table before the doctor came in, but he shut the drawer-step and said "no, Mommie. Not until the dah-ter comes in." Yes sir, Reed!

Let's go fly a kite

Sunday was funday at the park. We met Pete and Chahlee at Sweet Apple Park to climb, slide, run, and fly kites! Remember see-saws??!!

Merry-go-round=1, Cinny=0.

There wasn't much wind for the kites, but if the boys kept running, the winged apparatuses stayed adrift. I was worn out after watching them run all over the field.

Soccer Superstars

Hello (purple) team #54!! Reed and Nolan had their first actual soccer game today, and I think it was more comedic for the parents than athletic for the kids.

Nolan had the first drive down the field of the game, but after he didn't score on his run, he felt like his time on the field was over. He sat with us on the sidelines for the rest of the 20 minute game. He cheered for his team, and the other team and about every 2 minutes would ask "Mommie, is it over?" I think he was ready for snack!

Reed played just about the whole game! Well, he was on the field, that's for sure. He directed traffic "go that way", clapped and cheered when >anyone< scored a goal, and even got to kick the ball once from out of bounds. I'm considering putting him in a skirt with some pompoms for next game! Just kidding, he did great!!!

Let's Hear it for the Boys (with added notes of Jammy/Grandy)

While Mommie was away with the girls, Daddie and the boys had a very fun and active weekend. Jammy and Grandy met them at the Home Depot to do the monthly craft; making a wooden box. The boys were very proud of their creations and now store some of their cars in it. They reminded me of my absence by saying to me "Daddie, Jammy, Grandy came to Home Depot and I build my box, and Mommie, you were not there."

Then, they had soccer practice at Sweet Apple Park. Check out Reed's form! Once again, the boys let me know where I was "Daddie, Jammy, Grandy come to soccer with me, and Mommie, YOU were not there." They were not so much sad that I wasn't there, just stating a mere fact!

We ran like a bunch of girls...

and finished a 10k! YAY, Cinny, Dardar, Dawn, and Darlene!! Lindara was the group's photographer for the weekend, so she has many more pics of the city, road signs, chic-fil-a, car doors, trees, and cracks in the cement. Yes, she went a bit nuts, but she documented just about everything! Anyhoo, it was a fun girly weekend and we've even started training for next year ;o) (I think they might move the next race to Hawaii-wink, wink-)
