Since 1953, Pricilla the Pink Pig has been in operation to delight Atlantans and visitors of the city during the Christmas season. She started in the basement of Rich's department store but when it closed in '91, they moved her to Egleston and there they found it was too expensive to run. They closed her down in '95 and donated her to the Atlanta History Museum. Then, she was brought back to life as they updated and restored her on the top parking deck of Macy's in 2003. Long story short, you can't find too many native Atlantans that haven't heard of her (Sean and Erika excluded!!). Today, the boys and I paid homage to our southern roots and Atlanta culture and took a ride on the pig! The boys loved it!!
