HA! This is the list of stuff I left for Erika when Todd and I went to Biloxi for a friends wedding and left the boys with the Tuttles. I just found this on my work computer and thought it was funny. Maybe next year I'll have the same headings and update their profile!
Reed Timothy and Nolan Porter McLure
DOB: 8/30/07
Allergies: none
Medications: none
Weight: Reed 39 lbs, Nolan 38 lbs (or so I think)
Mental/Physical Retardations: none that I’m aware of, to date. (Still time to develop.)
Favorite Colors:
(Changes daily, but for now) Reed: Blue Nolan: Orange
Favorite TV shows:
Fresh Beat Band, any Pixar or Dreamworks movie (nemo, shrek, bugs life, despicable me, etc), Sports Center, Diego, Dora, Mickey Mouse, America’s Funniest Home Videos, Cops.
Favorite Sleeping Things:
Reed: 2 green and brown elephant blankets, Fox
Nolan: 2 silky blankets, soupdawg, jose
Favorite Foods:
Breakfast: Pancakes, waffles, toast with pnut butter, yogurt, dry cereal, oatmeal, fruit, sausage, you know!
Lunch: Chicken nuggets, fruit, chips, turkey tacos (tortilla, turkey, cheese, ranch, lettuce), peanut butter and jelly, yogurt, @ Chic-olay they get a 6 piece kids meal with fruit and if they want, they can turn their toys in for free icedream. When we go to Moe’s, they get a Moo-Moo Mr Cow (ground beef, cheese, lettuce).
Snack: Craisins and Goldfish, granola bars, grapes, raisins, pretzels, cheese
Dinner: Chicken nuggets, pizza, mac n cheese, grilled chicken, grilled pork chops (we still call it chicken), grilled steak (we still call it chicken), taco and chips, steamed broccoli with a drizzle of ranch, mashed sweet potatoes, carrots, grilled squash or superccini (zucchini), sweet potato fries, any pasta, most rice (just not a fan of white), grilled cheese, anything you tell them to eat and they’ll get a cookie at the end of the meal.
Ice cream: Nolan loves pink (usually strawberry), and Reed is a chocolate-man. But, if you have whatever, they’ll eat whatever.
Beverages:
Mainly water, but I’ll pack some cowie milk. I haven’t tried the strawberry milk, but they might like it. I’ll also include some juicy drinks they can have once a day. When we go to Chic-olay, they can have lemonade, just do half lemonade, half water.
Nap:
Usually on the weekends we do about 1:30-3:30, but whatever time works for your schedule, they’ll conform. They are usually pretty proud of themselves when they wake up from nap and have dry pull-ups. They’ll ask for a piece of candy for their lack of wetness and they can have it. I’ll bring some. They know they can only have 1 or 2 depending on the size of the morsel. You be the judge.
Bedtime:
We usually start bath between 7:15-7:25, read books, and lights out by 8pm. They have been known to stay up past 10pm if you so choose. They’re flexible!! They sleep in pull-ups and they know it.
Code to Daycare:
****, check out/out on right side, then finish/finish at the bottom. The boys know how to do it, you can ask them.
Saturday:
They have a soccer game at Keheley Elementary School in Marietta off of Trickum Road at 12:30pm. Their team is purple and they will have a bag that has their soccer balls, socks, uniform shirts, shorts, shin guards and shoes. (The shin guards go UNDER the socks!!) If you run out of time, don’t worry about taking them to the game. They’ll never know the difference. If you do take them, be ready for them to not want to play. It’s not unusual. Nolan has gotten better about wanting to play, but Reed is still not to sure. The parents just usually stand on the sidelines and shout at their kids to run towards the ball…not away from! You can remind them that the ones that TRY to play, get a special treat at the end of the game. There’s another parent that is bringing snacks to the game that they can have.
Sunday:
They go to church at 10600 Shallowford Rd from 7am until dark-ish, and their Sunday school teaches them to be nice to others and share.
Time outs:
They are well aware of time-out. 3 minutes is ideal, but feel free to leave them there for a good hour or two. Don’t be surprised if they cry. Nolan cried the other day when he stepped in mud. Reed cries when Nolan tackles him; he’s not hurt, just a wuss.
Activities:
They love to listen to music and dance. They also love to color and draw letters, shapes, and numbers. I’ll leave my house key with you if you want to go over there for whatever reason or if there’s something they or you want/need. Puzzles are a blast and keep them occupied for a good bit of time. Nolan is really good, Reed needs some help.

WOW! 4 years old, today!
At 8:28 and 8:29 on 8/30, Reed Timothy and Nolan Porter entered the world at Northside Hospital and changed our lives forever. We never expected to have as much fun, love, stress, and good times as we have over the past 1460 days. We feel so lucky to have the best kids in the history of the world! Happy Birthday boys, we love you!!
Here they are playing with their toys from mommie and daddie this morning.
As many times as I've NEVER dressed them alike, today they choose the same shirt to wear, knowing the other is wearing the same. I tried to change it but they both objected. Ha! Who knew!?!
A proud moment for them seeing their names on the marquee at school...and 54 cupcakes to boot! That's right...2 kids, 2 classes, 22 students and 2 teachers in each class equals a load of cupcakes, icing, and sprinkles. Thanks to Chef Todd, he did most of the work yesterday! That's right, Mr. Househusband. I'm so proud!!!

Happy Bday Keekers!!
Sorry it wasn't posted yesterday on your REAL bday, but best wishes and Happy Birthday goes out to the best 9 year old blonde goddaughter, ever! Hope you had a great day and we love you!!

School is Cool
1st day of Pre-K. FINALLY! The boys have been waiting and talking about it all summer. We got in the carpool line and Reed grabbed his backpack, jumped out of the car, and said to Ms. Leena "Hey, can you show me to my new Pre-K class?" Such a big boy! Nolan, on the other hand, grabbed my arm and would not let Ms. Leena get him out of the car. Needless to say, I had to park, walk him in, and get him settled in his new class. After he saw he had friends in his class, he was ready to start the day. And, I was able to peek in on Reed as he was applying his name tag to his shirt and handing out everyone else's. I think someone's going to be a "brown-noser!" (That just might equal out the juvenile deliquient Nolan is starting out as! Just kidding) They did great!

Hoedown at the Polo Fields
Happy 4th (almost) bday, Reed and Nolan! Saturday we gathered a ton of friends and most of the fam (we missed you Grandy!) at the Polo Fields to celebrate. It was quite the par-tay spectacular and the boys really did have a great time. Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate, set-up, clean-up, and just share in such an important day for our family. We truly appreciate the love we felt from everyone:o) Oh, and we raised over $300 for the Forsyth Humany Society! That's awesome!

Goodbye daycare, hello RHS!
Today was the last day of daycare for Reed and Nolan. Monday starts Pre-K and a whole new world...well, they'll still be at Kids R Kids, but our pockets will sure be able to tell a difference! Good job boys!
Then, tonight while mommie was getting ready for the boys birthday party tomorrow, Todd took the boys to the RHS game. Goooooo hornets! Sting 'em! Buzz, buzz, buzz!

Show us those pearly whites
Yesterday, Reed and Nolan had their 2nd ever check-up with Dr Makke. Apparently, Nolan was right on board and jumped in the chair not having been asked.
Reed, on the other hand, was a bit more reluctant. It took much coaxing, begging and finally bribing to get him to sit down and let the hygenist do her work. Afterwards, he was all smiles! Great job boys!

Pre-K Orientation
Today was orientation at KrK for the boys Pre-K that will start in one week from this coming Monday. They pretty much told us everything we already knew, but covered a few more bases we were unaware of. One of which was "even if your child has been in the center in daycare, we still find that they might be upset the first few weeks of school." All I could think of was, not my boys! They'll be fine! Then, what do I find when I walk down the hall to check on them in their class?!? Reed and Nolan were the only two kids CRYING!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?! I couldn't bear to take a picture of them crying so you'll just have to imagine it! (LOL). I prefer to think they were as happy as the picture that follows ;o) Little devils...

Ahhhh, that's what I call the Pampered BUNN!!
My boss must have known that my co-worker and I have worked our tails off for the past few weeks. She DEMANDED that we go get manicures and pedicures during work hours today on her dollar...um...OK! These are my pretty legs all wrapped in a hot towel slathered with mud. Who says you shouldn't get dirty!?!
Then, I come home and my househusband has prepared a nice snack and glass of wine for me! What a great day!!!

Yay! Frances is here!
My "little sister" came into town yesterday to spend a long weekend with us. She got to meet Jammy, Grandy, Reed, and Nolan first and even read books with them before bedtime. (Todd and Nekoh have already spent time with her when we lived in Charlotte and Nekoh seemed to remember her well!)
We had a girls day today and went shopping for some fabulous back to school clothes, then out to lunch, and then
to see a movie! Can't get much better than that! We've managed to wear her out both nights she's been here already as she's been off to bed at a surprisingly early hour...for a teenager. I'm not far behind, though! More fun to come for the weekend...

Nat'l "Bring your kid to work day"
Somebody is enjoying his breakfast at mommie's work! While Nolan headed off to big boy school and Todd to "work", Reed is enjoying a morning at the office with mommie. He had a fever yesterday and had to come home early from school...clearly, he's not sick anymore, but rules are rules and he has to stay home, or go to work and run around like a mad-man!

Home Depot activity #4 (for us)
We've missed a few of the past crafts that Home Depot provides for the little ones, but we managed to get there today! The boys had the help of Daddie, Jammy, and Grandy to make pencil boxes...in the hot, hot sun. Phew, hope they decide to do next month's activity indoors! The boys didn't seem to mind even though the rest of us were drenched.
Tellus Museum 2011
One lovely Friday, Nana and I took the boys and all 4 Goodloe's to the Tellus Science and Planetarium Museum. We all had such a fun time exploring the museum and putting our hands on everything allowed!
This was feat #1...getting all 6 kiddos and 1 senior citizen to stand still for a photo...just kidding Nana!
Aaaarrrgh!! Is this where they got the idea for jaws? This will DEFINITELY haunt me in my nightmares.
We sat in super-reclined movie theater seats to watch the planetarium do their night sky show on the domed ceiling with a Sesame Street twist. About 3 minutes into the show, Reed hollers "Mommie! Who's that big yellow duck!?!?" Ok, so the boys were never really exposed to Sesame Street and the likes of Big Bird, but a big yellow bird that can talk? I mean, come on! It was funny nonetheless.
They have a big excavation area where you can dig for fossils and shark teeth and even pan for semi-precious gems. The boys had fun just throwing the dirt from side to side and splashing around in the gem mines' water tanks.
Chasing after 6 kids under the age of 11 can be quite a task. So we made Keely and Ryan be "captains" and take control of 2 "buddies." Ryan looked after Reed and Leah,
while Keely kept track of Linde and Nolan. Job well done, Captains!!

Twin-cicles
Last weekend the boys had a sleepover at the Goodloe's while the adults went to Michelle and Jaime's (next door neighbor's) luau. The twinsies were so funny "teaming" up...Leah picked Reed, Linde picked Nolan, and they would run around shouting "TEAM" to each other. I think it's just because they can't tell each other apart!! So funny!
