HA! This is the list of stuff I left for Erika when Todd and I went to Biloxi for a friends wedding and left the boys with the Tuttles. I just found this on my work computer and thought it was funny. Maybe next year I'll have the same headings and update their profile!
Reed Timothy and Nolan Porter McLure
DOB: 8/30/07
Allergies: none
Medications: none
Weight: Reed 39 lbs, Nolan 38 lbs (or so I think)
Mental/Physical Retardations: none that I’m aware of, to date. (Still time to develop.)
Favorite Colors:
(Changes daily, but for now) Reed: Blue Nolan: Orange
Favorite TV shows:
Fresh Beat Band, any Pixar or Dreamworks movie (nemo, shrek, bugs life, despicable me, etc), Sports Center, Diego, Dora, Mickey Mouse, America’s Funniest Home Videos, Cops.
Favorite Sleeping Things:
Reed: 2 green and brown elephant blankets, Fox
Nolan: 2 silky blankets, soupdawg, jose
Favorite Foods:
Breakfast: Pancakes, waffles, toast with pnut butter, yogurt, dry cereal, oatmeal, fruit, sausage, you know!
Lunch: Chicken nuggets, fruit, chips, turkey tacos (tortilla, turkey, cheese, ranch, lettuce), peanut butter and jelly, yogurt, @ Chic-olay they get a 6 piece kids meal with fruit and if they want, they can turn their toys in for free icedream. When we go to Moe’s, they get a Moo-Moo Mr Cow (ground beef, cheese, lettuce).
Snack: Craisins and Goldfish, granola bars, grapes, raisins, pretzels, cheese
Dinner: Chicken nuggets, pizza, mac n cheese, grilled chicken, grilled pork chops (we still call it chicken), grilled steak (we still call it chicken), taco and chips, steamed broccoli with a drizzle of ranch, mashed sweet potatoes, carrots, grilled squash or superccini (zucchini), sweet potato fries, any pasta, most rice (just not a fan of white), grilled cheese, anything you tell them to eat and they’ll get a cookie at the end of the meal.
Ice cream: Nolan loves pink (usually strawberry), and Reed is a chocolate-man. But, if you have whatever, they’ll eat whatever.
Beverages:
Mainly water, but I’ll pack some cowie milk. I haven’t tried the strawberry milk, but they might like it. I’ll also include some juicy drinks they can have once a day. When we go to Chic-olay, they can have lemonade, just do half lemonade, half water.
Nap:
Usually on the weekends we do about 1:30-3:30, but whatever time works for your schedule, they’ll conform. They are usually pretty proud of themselves when they wake up from nap and have dry pull-ups. They’ll ask for a piece of candy for their lack of wetness and they can have it. I’ll bring some. They know they can only have 1 or 2 depending on the size of the morsel. You be the judge.
Bedtime:
We usually start bath between 7:15-7:25, read books, and lights out by 8pm. They have been known to stay up past 10pm if you so choose. They’re flexible!! They sleep in pull-ups and they know it.
Code to Daycare:
****, check out/out on right side, then finish/finish at the bottom. The boys know how to do it, you can ask them.
Saturday:
They have a soccer game at Keheley Elementary School in Marietta off of Trickum Road at 12:30pm. Their team is purple and they will have a bag that has their soccer balls, socks, uniform shirts, shorts, shin guards and shoes. (The shin guards go UNDER the socks!!) If you run out of time, don’t worry about taking them to the game. They’ll never know the difference. If you do take them, be ready for them to not want to play. It’s not unusual. Nolan has gotten better about wanting to play, but Reed is still not to sure. The parents just usually stand on the sidelines and shout at their kids to run towards the ball…not away from! You can remind them that the ones that TRY to play, get a special treat at the end of the game. There’s another parent that is bringing snacks to the game that they can have.
Sunday:
They go to church at 10600 Shallowford Rd from 7am until dark-ish, and their Sunday school teaches them to be nice to others and share.
Time outs:
They are well aware of time-out. 3 minutes is ideal, but feel free to leave them there for a good hour or two. Don’t be surprised if they cry. Nolan cried the other day when he stepped in mud. Reed cries when Nolan tackles him; he’s not hurt, just a wuss.
Activities:
They love to listen to music and dance. They also love to color and draw letters, shapes, and numbers. I’ll leave my house key with you if you want to go over there for whatever reason or if there’s something they or you want/need. Puzzles are a blast and keep them occupied for a good bit of time. Nolan is really good, Reed needs some help.
