Score 1 for the kitty
We're not really sure what happened to Nekoh yesterday, but it looks like the cat got away! It also resembles the tear drop gang symbol one would get when they "off" someone in another gang...doesn't it?

Should we worry now?
The other night when the boys were getting ready for bath, Nolan kept throwing his blanket around his waist saying "Look at me! I have a dress!"

Of course, monkey-see did the monkey-do and followed the leader. Hopefully, this is just an "uncle Sean" thing and the female apparel obsession is only temporary.

Fully Charged
The circus came to town this year with it's title "Fully Charged," and it was all that! There is something so magical about spending this time with family, that makes me so happy to have kids. We took them last year and I'm pretty sure they liked it. This year, I KNOW they LOVED it! Reed was jumping in and out of his seat the whole time, and even though I couldn't really see Nolan the whole time, he couldn't stop talking about how cool it was.
We got there early to go down on the floor and see some of the entertainment up close and personal. Oops, this entertainer is always on a mission to make us laugh!

This twirly-mc-bend-a-lot was swilling 10 or more hula hoops on her body in all different directions. How do they teach that!?!

Asia, the elephant, is an acclaimed artist and actually paints pictures with a large brush in her trunk. Here she is after her picture was completed getting a treat of a whole loaf of bread! No atkins diet here!

I don't know where we picked up this clown :o)

I am always so amazed at the big cats. I can't believe this bald guy stands in the ring with 10 big, carnivorous, large toothed, razor-sharp clawed felines and tells THEM what to do. Mind boggling...

Thanks, J&G for such a fun day at the circus! I always forget that Grandy worked in the circus several years back in the band. It's nice to hear firsthand that he witnessed the animals being treated very well and were taken very good care of. We love Ringling Brothers!

Too LOUD!
Some of my new favorite phrases that have come up over the weekend have been "mommie, can you turn the music down, please? It's too loud!" Or, "the TV is too loud, can you turn it down?" YAY! The boys got tubes in both ears this past week and they are doing great. Actually, better than great. They are doing perfect! They constantly ask to have things turned down and no longer shout to hear themselves talk. Well, ok, they still shout, but they're 4 and 4-year-olds tend to yell to get any attention. Here they are doing all the pre-op work, like checking breathing and blood pressure.

This was the ONLY part Reed liked. After the surgery, he kept saying, "I didn't like the sleepy room. Just the room that squeezed my arm." Todd took Nolan back for his surgery and apparently, he ran the show himself! Reed was a bit more tentative and didn't want me to leave him in there.

Very proud of their gowns!

We had to take the purple circle pillows home because Nolan thought it was quite comfortable. Nothing better after surgery than popsicles, gatorade, and animal crackers. And they dominated ALL of them! Great job, guys! We're so proud!

I believe the children are the future...
A little shout-out to the late/great Whitney Houston and my little Pre-K grads! Well, it's only February, so it seems as if they are on the right track to graduate. Who am I kidding? There's still plenty of time to mess it up! Hopefully, the boys will keep doing what they are doing in the hopes that their pre-k teachers will say they are ready for kindergarten. And just as every parent says about their kids...where does the time go?!? We're so proud :o)

Number three
Our little manchild is at it again. He lost his 3rd tooth last week! This is unusual because kids usually START losing their teeth in kindergarten or 1st grade. So, in pre-k, we've already lost 3. Holy cow. Can someone lend this tooth fairy some money...she's running out!

Last weekend was fun and all to short, as always. Jammy and Grandy came over to hang out with the boys while Todd and I went to a wedding in Atlanta. We're not sure what the 4 of them did all day, but they sure slept in late Sunday morning so they must have been worn out! Thanks, Jammy and Grandy. The boys are already asking when they can come to your house next!
Of course, we managed to squeeze in a dinner with the Hallorans/Goodloes last night while cousin Jennifer and kids (Lilly and Hayes) were here. They must think we're crazy because the noise level last night at Nana and Poppa's house definitely reached an all time LOUD. Hey, that's family, right!?!

Mommie, take our picture!
This has definitely become one of Reed's favorite sayings recently. Grabbing Nekoh by the neck, stopping whatever the two of them were doing at the time and shouting "Mommie, take our picture!"

The boys also had their bi-annual dentist appointment today and came away with a good bill of health and clean teeth! Reed was able to let the lady do a few x-rays on him and as much as Nolan tried, he couldn't stop gagging. Oh well, maybe next time, Nolan!

Happy lovey, dovey day!
The boys were excited to go to school today on Valentine's day to share their special treats and cards. Reed kept telling Nolan, "whoa Nolan, that's a cool shirt!" Whereas Nolan kept looking at himself in the mirror admiring his rockin' put-together outfit. Uh, oh. Looks like we have a Rico Suave on our hands! The funny thing is that I'm pretty sure this is an old shirt that Ryan Goodloe wore 8 years ago! Vintage to a 4-year-old, right?

Sheeee is the Champion, my friends
Yay, Dawn! After a few years of being nominated, the teachers at Roswell North FINALLY got it right and nominated and elected Dawn as the Teacher of the Year. She is so incredibly deserving of this honor as she stays at work late each night and gives 110% to each of her students. We couldn't be prouder of her!

We all got to go to the school and surprise her with balloons, flowers, and tons of loving family and friends. She was so excited!

Industrial Arts?
Ha, I loved that our "woodshop" class in high school was called Industrial Arts...too bad the boys probably won't have that class when they get older as it'll be changed to some other math-type-no-physical-activity class. Oh well, at least they have Home Depot to hammer, nail, and paint trinkets that they forget about a day later!

Shoe Crisis Averted
When: 6:52am, Tuesday morning getting ready for school/work
Nolan enters the room, sniffling.
Nolan: Mommie, (in a whiny voice) Reed ALWAYS gets the brown shoes with the two straps, and I want to wear them today.
Mommie: Nolan, there's a blue pair downstairs in the garage near the dogfood.
Nolan: But I don't WANT the blue ones! (Still cry-whining)
Enter Reed.
Reed: Hey, Nolan. How about you wear the brown shoes I have on and I can wear the blue ones?
Nolan lights up and suddenly the tears evaporate.
Nolan: Yea, Reed. The blue ones, you go downstairs, go in the garage, open the door, they're in the garage, you go out the door, and they're in the garage and they are by the dogfood and they're in the garage. Go get them!
Equals: 2 happy boys before the sun comes up, and happy Mommie and Daddie.

Super Fun Bowl
We decided to have an impromptu sort of super bowl party this weekend and had a few friends over to celebrate. One thing we did not fall short of was food!

Here's a few folks chillin' after a long day of playing all the sports possible in the yard. Pete! I see you back there, snackin' on the taco cups!!

While the game was on, Reed, Nolan, Charlie, Trevor and Evan had a bit of a picnic on the floor. These boys had so much fun and wore each other out! Good times!
