Good Friday evening to you all!
Today, we took Reed to his ENT for a follow-up visit from his previous surgery of having his tubes removed. Since we've had them taken out, we've seen more green, boogery, snotty drainage than we've seen all year. It's been nasty, up until the last few days...and recently, it's looked great! (comparatively speaking).
The Dr did her job and took a look down his hearing holes, and then quitely migrated us to the "microscope room." This is the place you don't want to end up...if you have a squirmy, untrusting child. There are more appliances, scissor type things, and bottles of grandpa's cough syrup than you can shake a stick at!
Luckily, Reed is a very compliant patient and allowed the doc to stick an anteater looking vaccum down his ear canal and she sucked out a bunch of garbage. Mmmm, yummy!
Now she's got him on a month's worth of Bactrim and some ear "puffs" that you have to get from a presumably mad scientist, oh and the hopes of "we'll see what happens!" I didn't go to med school, but I'm pretty sure I can hop a kid up on just about anything and say "let's just see what happens!!" We're just ready for this to be over and hope the warm spring/summer will help clear it up!
