Ok, guys! I'm going to change the name of this blog to "Twin boys of Woodstock in search of their long lost relatives" if someone else doesn't post something!!! Just kidding, I'm sure everyone's got all sorts of other things going on in their lives, so you'll just have to put up with listening to us :o)
Today our neighbourhood had their annual easter egg hunt/photo op with a large rabbit/farm animal petting zoo/opening of new playground/fun for all. Jammy and Grandy got to see their boys in action running around...uh, more or less just watching their twin grandsons watch other kids snatch up all the eggs. If they had told me there was free candy in those eggs, I'd be pushing through the 2-3 year olds and grabbing them up for myself! But, the boys just grabbed a few and seemed content with a couple of stickers and smartie or two. Charlie and the Pete's came for the festivities seeing as they don't have the luxury of...NEIGHBORS!! The baby goats took a liking to Charlie's fingers as mom and dad plopped him down at the animal cage.
Later today, we took them to KidsKutz for professional haircut #2 (no pictures this time, sorry!) and then out for their first experience at a hibachi restaurant, of which they've dubbed "big fire". Thank goodness the hostess sat us at a grill with a mother and her 2 year old b/c when the boys got a hold of their utensils, they started playing the drums with them on their plates. Is this why most parents get sitters for weekend nights? Well, once the instruments were stripped from them and the show began, they were mesmerized and sat perfectly still for the next hour and some change. They loved it!
